Important Announcement: Transition to Full Bulk Billing
Hall Road Medical Centre is pleased to inform our patients that from 1st July, our practice will transition to a fully bulk-billed service.
What this means for you
All standard consultations will be bulk-billed for eligible Medicare patients. Please note that certain excisions and procedures not covered by Medicare will continue to incur a private fee. Our team will advise you in advance if any fees apply.
What is not Bulk-Billed
1. Procedural Services: Certain surgical and complex procedural services that fall outside of standard, non-referred consultations.
2. Consumables: Materials, medical supplies, or specific equipment used during a visit that are not covered by Medicare.
3. Non-MBS Services: Services not listed on the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), such as medical certificates for work, insurance medicals and pre-employment physicals.
4. Allied Health & Specialist Referrals: Visits to allied health professionals (like psychologists or physiotherapists) and specialists can still attract out-of-pocket costs, unless those services are covered under a specific GP Management Plan.
No Show Fees
Please advise that Did not attend fees will still include a private cost. We would request you to call and advise the clinic at least 2 hours prior the appointment time if you are unable to make it to the appointment.
Our commitment to quality care
We would like to reassure our patients that this change will not impact the quality of care we provide. Our doctors remain committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused healthcare and ensuring every consultation provides value and attention to your needs.
Thank you for your patience
As we transition to a fully bulk-billing practice, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding, particularly with our reception team during this period of change.
We appreciate your continued trust and look forward to providing accessible, high-quality care for you and your family.
