Dr Ahmed Tilly
MBBS MRCGP FRACGP
Ahmed has worked as a GP in Australia for over 4 years, having moved from the UK. He trained at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed his General Practice training in Leicestershire (UK). Ahmed worked as a GP in the UK for nearly 2 years before moving to Melbourne. He has a certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Surgery awarded by The University of Queensland. Ahmed is interested in women’s health and is proficient in Implanon (contraceptive implant) insertion and removal. He is also keen on teaching and endeavours to pass on some of the knowledge gained from his mentors on to budding GPs.
Dr Chin Wong
Mb Bch MRCGP FRACGP DFFP
Dr Chin Wong has previously worked as a GP in the UK. He also worked as a lecturer in a medical university in Malaysia before coming to Australia. Chin is interested in Chronic Disease but enjoys all aspects of General Practice.
Dr Shamini Wiknesh
MBBS, FRACGP,DCH, CWH,ACCSCMS, ACCD
Shamini obtained her medical degree in Sri Lanka where she trained in General Medicine, Surgery and Cardiology. On moving to Australia she worked at several leading hospitals in Victoria covering various specialities successfully completing General Practice training in Victoria. She is a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
She has been trained as a Paediatric Registrar at West Gippsland Hospital where she acquired further clinical skills working with children. In addition, she acquired skills training in women’s health successfully completing her Certificate. She is currently a shared maternity care affiliate with Peninsula health and Monash Health. As such she can assist with pregnancy follow-ups, along with the obstetrician and the midwife.
Being a skin cancer college accredited skin cancer doctor, Shamini is currently doing her fellowship (part 2) in skin cancer at the Skin Cancer College Australasia. She holds an Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy together with the Advanced Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery.
Dr Pranjal Deka
Graduated Silchar Medical College, India in 2004 and have worked in surgical and medical fields before moving to Australia in 2012. Had worked in various metropolitan and country hospitals across Australia before moving to General practice 2017. I was doing Physician training and have worked in medical subspecialties like Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Neurology and geriatric medicine and have huge experience in dealing and managing very complex medical conditions. I changed my career to General Practise and moved to Victoria from Queensland and successfully completed General Practise training from regional Victoria. I always had a special interest in Skin cancer surgery and excision of lumps and bumps. During my current General practise experience I am involved in diagnosing skin cancers including melanoma and performing excision and cosmetic repairs. I have completed various skin cancer courses including Professional certificate in skin cancer surgery. I enjoy chronic disease management including autoimmune diseases such as thyroid disease, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes and Heart disease. I also deal with mental health as I have completed mental health courses. Other interest is female health especially contraception advised including implanon insertion and removal and Men’s health. Finally, I like to spend time with family, acting, playing badminton and travelling. I have a very good understanding of community bonding as I have worked in small communities as a General practitioner.
Ms Sue Shrubsole
Sue is an English trained podiatrist, who works mainly on the Mornington Peninsula. She is very experienced and has an interest in foot care for people with Diabetes.
Sue consults every two weeks on Fridays and Tuesdays at Hall Road Medical.
Ganesh Ilango is our newest psychologist to join us at the clinic.
Ganesh has experience in working with a wide range of clients presenting with a myriad of concerns. Having worked at various settings including schools, universities and non-government organizations, Ganesh has also gained experience in administering a range of personality and cognitive assessments. Having studied and lived in multiple countries, he has experience in engaging and creating an impact on individuals from linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Ganesh has qualifications in MPsych (Counselling) and PGDip Psychology from Monash University and BA Psychology & Biology from Westminister College (USA).
Ganesh is fluent in Hindi as well as English.
Ganesh consults at Hall Road Medical Centre on Wednesdays.
Casey is a Member of Australian Psychological Society (APS), she has experience working within private practice and school settings, working with children, adolescents, families, adults and couples presenting with a variety of behavioural and emotional challenges.
Casey is a client-focused therapist who prides herself on being able to carefully select a treatment modality that is tailored to her client’s needs.
Casey is passionate about supporting clients in addressing current concerns and working collaboratively with the client to achieve their therapeutic goals.
Casey will be consulting on Saturdays.
I would like to take this opportunity to share with you how excited I am to have been promoted to Practice Manager. I’ve spent many years in health and community care sectors and hope to draw on that experience in my new role. I am to ensure that we continue to deliver on our goal of promoting excellence in health care management as we build on Hall Road Medical Centre’s growth and success.
Julie is a Div 2 Enrolled – Medication Endorsed Nurse and has experience working in the areas of General Practice nursing and aged care. Her role includes; immunisations & vaccinations, wound management, health promotion, chronic disease care plans, infection control and assisting doctors in theatre. Julie has an interest in wound care, theatre and skin cancer. In 2013 she attended a nurse workshop for skin cancer with ACCO. Julie really enjoys the variety that General Practice Nursing brings.
Ms Mandy Williams
I come to Hall Road Medical Centre with a wealth of experience in early childhood education, which has many transferrable skills to the medical sector. I have experience working for a specialist doctor and now enjoy working here with the fabulous team at Hall Road Medical Centre. I live locally and love being part of the Carrum Downs community. I look forward to meeting you.
