Bulk billing at Hall Road Medical Centre
From 1 July 2026, standard consultations are bulk-billed for eligible Medicare patients. No out-of-pocket cost for a standard visit.
A few things still carry a private fee, and reception will always let you know before anything applies:
- Procedures and excisions not covered by Medicare (surgical or complex procedural services outside a standard consultation)
- Consumables: materials or equipment used during a visit that Medicare doesn’t cover
- Non-MBS services: work medical certificates, insurance medicals, pre-employment physicals
- Allied health and specialist referrals: psychology, physiotherapy and specialist visits can still have out-of-pocket costs, unless covered under a GP Management Plan
Missed appointments: a private did-not-attend fee applies. Please call at least 2 hours before your appointment time if you can’t make it.
